Three Units of Wireless Camera System

Security cameras are of great use both before and after the happening of an unfortunate event. If someone is there keeping an eye on the live footage of the camera then many attempts of intrusion can be easily foiled and unfortunate events can be prevented. And, if an unfortunate event has already occurred, then the recorded video can be used for identifying culprits, collecting evidence and analysis. Currently, we have CCTV cameras which can provide live streaming when connected to the internet.

Edmonton Wireless Camera System
is made up of following three units:

•    Camera: Analog and IP are the two types of security cameras commonly used. These cameras transmit signals in the form of a continuous waveform and therefore, are prone to attenuation. IP cameras transfer data in the form of digital signals. These are the cameras which you can connect to the internet for remote monitoring.

•    Transmission media: The transmission media can be wired or wireless. In the case of an analog camera, RG-11 cables are used for long distance transmission. For carrying digital signals, UTP/CAT VI cables are used with IP cameras. However, one can also use Wi-Fi technology in which no wire is required.

•    Live streaming or recording station: DVR (Digital Video Recorder) is used for recording and live viewing of the site being monitored by the camera. In DVR, there is only one output signal and therefore, it can be connected to a single monitor. IP cameras, on the other hand, can be connected to multiple monitors as it is configured with a network using IP address.
